In Near Fine Condition: covers very lightly rubbed; otherwise a crisp and clean copy.

No Place: Typophiles No date ( printed sometime during WWII ). One of an unnumbered edition of 350 copies published as a not-so-playful poke at America's enemies during WWII. The original glassine dustjacket has 2 tiny closed tears at spine tips. Great drawings of Hitler and Tojo, and a quite scarce Typophiles item.. First Edition. Handmade Paper Wrappers. Fine/Near Fine. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.

(Franklin), collecting a series of architectural notes describing contemporary London for Ackermann's Repository, illustrated with colored aquatints and originally published in serial form between 1810-1815. This is the issue without Papworth's name on title page (no priority established). Imperial 8vo: [8],159,[1]pp, with 76 delicately hand-colored aquatints (five folding), by J. Hamble and Joseph Constantine Stadler after Papworth and Augustus Pugin, "of past London, with representations of City churches and other topographical features now no longer in existence" (Prideaux). Folding book means that the pages at the front and at the binding are only folded. After removing the book jacket the twelve pages of the content can be folded into one strip. Jules Engel, 1973. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Remarkably scarce typographic art book by Engel, hailed as the inventor of modern animation for his work with Disney and UPA. From WorldCat listings, this is the 1973 first edition, predating the Philip Morris Studios imprint by a year. Correctly, according to the listing, it displays no bibliographic information. In VG/near-fine internal condition throughout, crisp, clean and bright on light cream stock. Unpaginated. Landscape 255 x 165mm. One page affected by a small paper fault which has produced a short crease. Bright white endpapers. Clean cream cloth with gilt titling to front. Very lightly bumped to bottom right corners. San Francisco: Limestone Press, 1988. Limited Edition. Octavo. 36 unnumbered pages. One leaf cut in shape of a bird. No. 3 of 60 copies. Front cover has image of bird from a woodblock carved by the artist. Aviary was printed from linoleum blocks cut by Kate Delos, each impression was hand inked by printers, Jill Livermore and Yoshiko Shimano. Kate Delos has exhibited widely on the West Coast, as well as in the Foyer, d'Acueill in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo. She lives in the Bay Area where she has taught bookmaking and painting in Bay Area schools for many years.

Each shape is displayed twice on facing pages. The left side shows the image in white with color background in ink. The right side shows the shape printed in ink with a white background. The seven shapes and colors are: Circle - Orange; Square - Blue; Triangle - Orange; Arrow - Gray; Heart - Orange; Star - Blue; Hand - Orange.
