Front cover has image of bird from a woodblock carved by the artist. Aviary was printed from linoleum blocks cut by Kate Delos, each impression was hand inked by printers, Jill Livermore and Yoshiko Shimano. Kate Delos has exhibited widely on the West Coast, as well as in the Foyer, d'Acueill in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo. She lives in the Bay Area where she has taught bookmaking and painting in Bay Area schools for many years.

This is a copy of the Lettered Issue of the first edition, thus one of only 26 copies printed on Zerkall Litho (a 210gram, exceptionally fine mouldmade paper, watermarked and with deckled edges) for presentation as a loose-leaf book of ten signatures.
