Publisher's blue cloth; the inner hinges are beginning to crack but the book is still sound and doesn't need rebinding; there is slight wear at the headcap and the corners are bumped; the text and illustrations are good and clean. First edition of this rare account of the American intervention in Siberia.

Browning and spotting throughout, sometimes heavily. Pages from 220 onwards are stained. The final blank page is very browned and stained..
