Finland: M.G.M., 1960. 1st Edition . No Binding. Fine. A terrific Finnish A2 one-sheet, cinema poster for the French-Italian movie of 1959, The Giant of Marathon (aka Battle of Marathon). The film was first screened in cinemas in Finland in 1960 with no subsequent releases of any description. This poster is not a modern reproduction and nor is it Video/DVD-related. This particular poster is a standard size 23.5" x 16" approx. It is in fantastic condition - unfolded and with no chips or tears to the edges - one small crease upper right corner. This is a cinema-used poster and there are pinholes but this is in really Fine - or better - condition. Beautifully illustrated and artist signature in the plate. A stunning example of vintage cinema art and design.

Litho poster, [29 x 23 inches].Very good, some rippling, light edge wear. The poster features an aerial image of Manhattan (credited to Skyview Surveys) with several bold arrows pointing at the northwest corner of Union Square. The Underground disco was located in the basement of 860 Broadway, just above Union Square on the east side of Broadway. Warhol's Factory was also present in this building at the time. The poster lists events to take place the week of and on the day of the Gay Pride March on Sunday, June 27, 1982. No exemplars found in collections or in trade. All posters are presently stored between acid free boards, flat, under weight. They will be shipped rolled, in tubes.

A highly colourful poster promoting beach fun on the Côte D'Azur by French graphic artist Jacques Dubois (1912-1994). Dubois designed several tourist and travel posters for the French Government during the 1950's.

Iconic image published after the Second World War promoting peace with doves flying along the French monuments of Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe . Colin studied art at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Nancy, France. His style was highly influenced by the cubist and surrealist movement of the time and epitomized the Art Deco era. Colin designed posters for the Folies Bergères, the Moulin Rouge and for the French cinema.went on to open a graphic arts school of his own in 1930.

Finland: Universal International, 1962. 1st Edition 1st Printing. No Binding. Very Good. An original First Screening, Finnish, cinema-used lobby poster for the 1962 film THAT TOUCH OF MINK, starring Cary Grant, Doris Day and Gig Young. The film received its Finnish Premier in November 1962 with no subsequent re-release. This particular poster is a standard size Finnish A2, 60cm x 40cm approx. Signed in the plate by the artist. Condition - C5/6, VG to Near Fine. A folded poster with prominent crease to middle. Pinholes at corners. A couple of small nicks at bottom edge. Most noticeably, a cinema label to the left-hand side - I would judge this to be irremovable. Even so, this is a really lovely poster - the colouring is gorgeous and the label adds that touch of authenticity! Finland: Films Lutétia/S.L.P.F., 1957. No Binding. Fine. An uncommon Finnish "tour" poster for the French movie Cette Sacre Gamine, known in English as "Naughty Girl" and starring Brigitte Bardot. Naughty Girl was first screened in Finland in 1957 and was never re-released. Dimensions: 15.25 inches x 23.50 inches.In superb un-used condition - no pin-holes, tape residue marks etc. No edge wear to speak of, As New - or very near it - apart from some minor creases. Accompanied by a postcard-sized photographic image (on paper) of Bardot which has been hand-signed by the film legend. Will frame together very well.
