1671 ECONOMICS 1ed Puglisi ACCOUNTING Economica Mathematics Italian Palermo RARE

Onofrio Puglisi was a 17th-century Italian mathematician known for two separate arithmetic treatises. The second, entitled "Practice of Numeral Economics", proved to be one of the best 17th-century Italian works on accounting. It was also one of the earliest books of its kind. Prior to 1671, no Italian authors had published works solely on accounting (Fanfani, p.426). A landmark work in the history of Italian accounting!

Description:
1696 FAMED Table Talk of English John Selden Law Money Economics Honesty Success

"Most mens learning is nothing but History duely taken upp. If I quote Tho : Aquinas for some Tenet, & believe it, because the school-men say soe, that's but History : few men make themselves masters of the things they write or speake."
― John Selden, Table-Talk

John Selden is generally considered England's first legal historian. He questioned all of his contemporaries and their definition of 'history.' He spent time trying to discover history by researching the past, more so than that of his colleagues. He claimed, as seen in the quote above, that men of knowledge did not learn from the past, nor did they seek to discover the past. Selden sought to change this, particularly in Table-Talk where he provides advice and understanding on various topics such as money management, being honest, when to plan crops, plus other spiritual guides.

1775 Revolutionary War MONEY 1ed Early American Banknote $2 Bill Dollars Finance
An incredibly rare and valuable 18th-century example of Revolutionary War money!
During the height of the Revolutionary War, the Continental Congress needed finding a way to pay the newly found American army. In 1775, the Continental Currency was first printed to supplement income. And while the value of these notes depreciated in value throughout the war, they hold significant historical and financial value today. These notes hold a reminder of the horrors of uncontrolled inflation and provide an important view into the history of American finance.
This two-dollar note was printed in Philadelphia by Hall and Sellers in 1775 – an incredible example of first edition American money!
