Boulding was the founder of the evolutionary economics movement, a cofounder of General Systems Theory,and in addition to being an economist he was an educator, peace activist, poet, religious mystic, devoted Quaker, systems scientist, and interdisciplinary philosopher. He published over three dozen books and in excess of 1200 articles. He was one of those rare authors of a "Citation Classic." Indeed, even more rare, he was the author of two Citation Classics: The Image: Knowledge in Life and Society (1956) and Conflict and Defense: A General Theory (1962). Main portion of the dw in Near Fine condition, some rubbing along the foredge. Dust Jacket is very worn and faded on the spine with small tears and small pieces missing. Corners are rubbed/worn. Book in VG with Near Fine condition. Top and bottom edges of the spine are bent under, corners bumped/rubbed. This is the revised January 1963 HC edition. Ships with delivery confirmation.
