A translation by Nicolaus Leydecker of The Sincere Convert, Discovering the Paucity of True Beleevers; and the Great Difficulty of Saving Conversion (London, 1640) by Thomas Shepard (1605-1649), an English theologian who came to Massachusetts in 1635. In Very Good Condition: minor loss from spine label and from gilt decoration at tail of spine; small stain at upper edge of frontispiece and title page; otherwise, clean and tight.

The date appears on the printer's colophon at the rear, and the verso has another version of the woodcut printer's device.
