Published by Bradford Morrow on the 20th anniversary of the original appearance of The Naked Lunch, consists of 324 numbered copies in wrappers... cast in Monotype Baskerville and designed and printed letterpress by Patrick Reagh in August 1979; this copy is out of series and numbered 399. Title on cover states: A variant passage from The Naked Lunch, with a new introduction by the author. 8vo, french folded wraps, 42 pages, frontispiece drawing by K. Anders after Egon Schiele's "Kummernis." Condition is VERY GOOD+ : very slight edgewear and very slight tanning to spine. A very nice copy.

(This copy does not have the Fuck for Peace insert leaflet found in some copies.) Unmarked copy with some toning and soil (overlay illustration to one page has associated shadowing from original glue).

The present copy is number 41 signed by the author and with a hand-colored image by Bukowski of Theodore's kiss of Lilly that haunted Margie. Illustrated by the author. Hand bound in 1/4 purple and red floral designed cloth over yellow paper covered boards, lettered in outline in red and purple, central line drawing executed by Bukowski within a brown frame, and with an original ink drawing on upper board by Bukowski signed, red endpapers, deckled fore-edges, yellow paper spine label lettered in black, in yellow dust jacket lettered in an outline of purple and red with brown separating rule. A fine copy. [Krumhansl 61b].

Contributor William Corrington has also signed his piece. Early ruminations by McMurtry on beat literature. Small chip at bottom edge of rear cover, some scratches and scuffs; very good. Palma de Mallorca, Spain: Divers Press, 1955. Original Wrappers. Near Fine/Near Fine. Cover: Dan Rice (designer), Arthur Okamura (artist). First Edition of Blackburn's first collection of poetry. Fragile illustrated wrappers screenprinted over newsprint are rarely seen in this condition. Paul Blackburn was a poet, involved with Beat poets, as well as a translator of Latin American literature by Octavio Paz, Federico Garcia Loca, Julio Cortezar and Pablo Picasso. Blackburn was a strong and active supporter of poetry and poets, especially fledgling poets. His influence on the poetry world and Spanish/Latin American literature (from the 1950's to his death in 1971) is immeasurable. 8 x 6½". 24 pp. Very minor chipping to top and bottom tips of cover, some offset toning to end pages, else a Near Fine copy.
