Spalding 'Official Baseball Guides' are some of the most popular early 20th-century baseball memorabilia on the market. Spalding published a yearly baseball guide that included team photos, portraits and action shots of individual ball players, player statistics, a history of the game, and extensive sections on rules and gameplay.

The 1914 edition includes notable baseball legends including Christy Mathewson, Shoeless Joe Jackson, Walter Johnson, Tris Speaker, Nap Lajoie, Grover Cleveland Alexander, and Ty Cobb. It also includes details on the 1913 World Series between the Athletics and the Giants with hall of fame managers John McGraw and Connie Mack.
