A comprehensive tribute to architect Stanford White, designer of the Washington Square Arch in New York, among other projects. White was a member of the famous McKim, Mead, and White Gilded Age architectural firm, designers of New York's original Penn Station and other famous commissions.
Hardbound with no dust jacket, 1920 First Edition, measuring 12.5 by 17.5 inches. 33 pages followed by 56 plates, including sketches, drawings and photographs of White's oeuvre. Boards have edge and corner rubbing, a stain on the upper right front, and a piece of the top edge of the spine is missing. Some inside pages are lightly soiled but most are clean, in VG shape. His reputation suffered late in his life with backlash against his style of Modernism, but recent critics have restored his eminence.
